Yesterday around 15:30 we received a worried phone call from a young girl.

She found a hedgehog that had fallen into a ditch, next to a house that was being renovated in Kalamaja, Tallinn. The hedgehog would’ve never gotten out of there by himself, but thanks to the attentiveness of a 10-year-old girl, another little life was saved.

The girl showed our volunteer, Martin Jõks, where the hedgehog was and the two of them managed to get the poor thing out of the ditch. It was an active and healthy hedgehog boy with a nice weight. Help had arrived just at the right time, so all he needed was to be released again in a safer environment.
It’s really heartwarming when our young people notice and care for the weak, and are aware of who to call for help.
Thank You from us, and from the hedgehog.
