In the beginning of August, we received a notice, that three little baby squirrels had been found.

They arrived to our volunteer Liisa, weighing only 60grams each.
So, there was nothing else to do, than to take out special feeding formula and equipment to feed them in regular intervals.
New way of eating was quickly learned and growth could begin.
As the squirrels grew bigger, their skills developed and they fooled around more and more.
There were many times, when they succeeded in getting out from their cage and they turned the room which was meant for animals upside down. When this was accomplished, they sat on the curtain pole and waited for reactions. At least it seemed that way to Liisa. It was fine art catching those little rascals, when one of them was in the cage, two of them was out again. It was like a fun game to them.

Right now, the squirrels are on the half way back to the forest. They live in the outdoor cage through the winter.
We hope that they will have fun and adventurous lives and that their descendants will grow as great characters as those squirrels are !
